A sleepy Alan on his last day in Whitehorse

A sleepy Alan, just out of bed, on his last day in Whitehorse

It seems I’m saying a lot of good-byes these days, and not enough hellos. Alan left to go to school in Victoria last week. That was good-bye number one. He flew out on the same plane my brother and sister-in-law arrived on. It was great to have them visit; it was their first time to the Yukon. We did many of the usual touristy things: a few attractions around town, a drive to Skagway, up Haeckel Hill for the view, etc. They left this morning – good-bye number two. And Iris leaves to go back to university in a few days: the third good-bye in just over a week. I hate good-byes.
