Being Noticed

Earlier this week, the company I work for received an award from the Association Franco-Yukonnaise for providing excellent service in French. I think this came about because over the last few years we have produced various brochures/interpretive materials in French, have offered public tours of our facilities en francais, and have set up a French web site.

We did these things because they’re important to do and not because we were looking for any kind of recognition. However it felt good to have someone notice and say ‘merci’.

  1. It’s an ‘inclusive’ thing to do and makes a huge difference to the people who feel ‘included’ instead of ‘excluded’. Bravo to you and the company!
