Saturday Pics

Yukon wildflowers from the trails behind my house.
Joe and I took a road trip up the South Canol Road today. Here he is at the Nsutlin River.
Old abandoned truck on the South Canol.
Another old truck. The U.S. Army left lots of them behind after building the Canol Road during WW2.

If you’re interested in learning more about the Canol Road and why it was built, you can read about it here. It’s a rather interesting story. As a side note, the crown moldings above my kitchen cupboards are made out of remnants of old wooden culvert from the Canol Road.
