In talking about yoga, the Tibetans say that at the beginning, nothing comes. In other words, you’ll be tight and sore and you’ll feel rather frustrated and stupid. In the middle, nothing lasts. Just a few day’s hiatus from practice and you’ll again be tight and sore and frustrated. In the end, nothing leaves. You won’t be able to stop doing yoga and you’ll feel better and better about yourself.
While I’m still in the middle phase, I can’t help but think that yoga has me – hook, line and sinker. I’m at the point now where I’m not happy if I don’t do yoga every single day, even if it’s only ten minutes of Sun Salutations and a couple of minutes of standing on my head. And every day I feel just a tiny bit stronger – physically, mentally and emotionally. Yeah yoga!
